Baked Cod in Black Bean Sauce with Paprika and Tomato


Ingredients for 2 persons





For the fish

400 grams of Cod fillets (about 4 fillets)

1 paprika, finely sliced

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

8 cherry tomato, cut in half

4 tbsp. of salt black bean pasteR

Pepper for seasoning

4 tbsp. of olive oil

For the cooked rice

1 cup of brown rice

1 cup of diced carrot, corn and green pea (optional)

1 tbsp. of butter

2 tbsp. of soya sauce

a pinch of pepper

Kale and cucumber for the decoration



How to make 

1.       Preheat the oven to 200 C

2.       I use the electric rice cooker, so I can put together rice, and mixed carrot, corn and green pea to be cooked at the same time. Let’s click to start the cooker.

3.       In the baking tray, mix the chopped garlic, salt black bean paste and pepper with the olive oil and coat the mixing oil with the fish fillets.

4.       Spread the sliced paprika and tomato around the fish fillets in the tray.

5.       Put the tray in the oven and baked for 25-30 minutes. No need to cover with the foil.

6.       When the rice cooker is finished, gently stir the rice with the ladle for a minute. Then put the butter, soya sauce and a pinch of pepper to season the rice. Gently stir the rice again.

7.       Time to set a dish and serve with the Kale as the decoration.



R I recommend you to try for this brand “Lao Gan Ma” because it is neither too salty nor too spicy.
